Sports Fantasy Platform

The challenge

A sports media company wanted to launch a fantasy sports platform to engage their audience and create a new revenue stream. The platform needed to support real-time live scoring, team management, leagues, and social features — all delivered as a native iOS and Android app with a supporting web admin dashboard, within a 16-week timeline before the season start.

What we built

We designed and built the full-stack sports fantasy platform end-to-end — from mobile apps to backend infrastructure:

• React Native cross-platform mobile app (iOS + Android) with native performance and animations
• Real-time live scoring engine using WebSockets, delivering score updates in under 1 second
• Fantasy team management — player selection, transfers, captain assignment, and automated scoring calculation
• Private and public league system with leaderboards, head-to-head matches, and prize pool management
• Sports data API integration for live match data, player statistics, and historical performance
• Web admin dashboard for content management, user management, and tournament administration
• Payment gateway integration for entry fees and prize distribution
• Push notification system for match events, score updates, and league alerts

The results

The platform launched on schedule, 3 days before the season kick-off. Within the first month, 50,000+ users had registered and created fantasy teams. The app achieved a 4.7-star rating on both App Store and Play Store. The real-time scoring engine handled peak concurrent loads of 8,000+ simultaneous connections without performance degradation.
